How do I make the cake Shorty wants?

  • 1 of 12: First you need to find the recipe.
  • 2 of 12: After you finish talking to Shorty, turn right to find the recipe box.
  • 3 of 12: The recipe you want is labeled "Shd. Ranch Cake."
  • 4 of 12: Now turn left twice to face the kitchen counter, and Nancy will put the bowl and ingredients on the counter.
  • 5 of 12: You're hampered here by the fact that the Rawleys don't have many measuring devices -- just a teaspoon, a 1/3-cup measure, and a pint measure. Hmm.
  • 6 of 12: Did you notice the list of measure equivalents on the refrigerator?
  • 7 of 12: You can use that to figure out how much of each item you should use.
  • 8 of 12: Here's what you need:
    2 eggs
    3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 9 of 12: When you've added everything you need (in any order you like), back away from the counter, and the game will give you three choices.
  • 10 of 12: If you think you added the right amount of each ingredient, choose "bake."
  • 11 of 12: Choose a pan, then choose temperature and time in the oven.
  • 12 of 12: When it's done, Nancy will taste a bit and tell you if you got the ingredients right. If not, start over; if it's "delicious!", put the icing on and assemble the flower.
