How do I split logs?
1 of 10: Go over to the logs and axe, put a log on the block, put the wedge in the log, and swing.
2 of 10: Did you notice that Nancy didn't put the log dead center on the block? It's off to one side.
3 of 10: Stand on the footprints in the same quadrant as the log. For example, if the log is at the top center of the block, stand in the top center footprints.
4 of 10: And the wedge is at an angle. Sloppy!
5 of 10: Pick the hammer angle closest to the wedge angle.
6 of 10: There's no penalty for error, so go ahead and experiment.
7 of 10: Here are the settings you need:
8 of 10: Log 1: Stand at the left middle space; use angle 2.
9 of 10: Log 2: Stand at the bottom middle; use angle 5.
10 of 10: Log 3: Stand at the top right; use angle 3.
