1 of 5: Whoops! Kind of startling, isn't it? (And authentic too. I can tell you from personal experience that you feel really stupid when it happens to you, especially since there always seems to be some sardonic cowboy like Tex standing by snickering.)
2 of 5: Did you see the poster in the tack room that looks a little like "Uncle Sam Wants YOU"? It's over the feed bins.
3 of 5: It tells you to check your girth, also known as a cinch, every time you ride. That's the thing that holds the saddle on the horse, kind of like a belt.
4 of 5: After you put Bob's saddle on, lift up the stirrup and tighten the broad white cinch three times. Drop the stirrup and lead Bob out into the corral to mount. You should stay on this time.
5 of 5: And yes, you do need to do this every time you ride, unless you really like looking at the back of Bob's knees.
