Who was the woman in black?
The one Jane told you about was a lie she told to freak Linda out. (What a nasty child!) The one you saw in the hall (if you did) was probably one of the adults in the house -- either Ethel in cahoots with Jane, or Linda herself convinced she was fated to become the Beast of Blackmoor. It's never really explained, so you can make up your own story. Maybe it was Nigel in drag, what do you think?
