1 of 6: You can find hints about how to solve this around Nancy's room.
2 of 6: Look at the coat of arms over the fireplace and the many pages of the chart over the little table between the windows.
3 of 6: Pay particular attention to the Lynx.
4 of 6: On the chart, the Lynx is in the center; on the coat of arms, there's a design in the upper right corner with four colored balls. The one in the center is completely black.
5 of 6: When you pick up the box, you're looking at the Lynx side. Click on it to open it. Now you need to set it so it looks like the center of the design on the coat of arms.
6 of 6: There's no color black on it; what you need to do instead is click on the button that changes the silver part. Click on it until the circle is completely covered with silver, and the box will open.
