Nancy Drew 11: Curse of Blackmoor Manor Hints

The Tiles around Jane's Door

  • 1 of 8: This puzzle is MUCH simpler than in the PC version. All you really need to do is find the key to that little keyhole next to Jane's door.
  • 2 of 8: You can find the key at the top of the winding stairs.
  • 3 of 8: Oh, well, okay, you need one more thing: something to grease the keyhole.
  • 4 of 8: British food gets insulted a lot, but one thing they say about it is true: it's pretty greasy. The kitchen is closed, but you can still get something to eat.
  • 5 of 8: Have you looked at the phone in your room? Jane's father is never around, but if you call the Boar's Head pub, they'll send some food over for you.
  • 6 of 8: It doesn't matter which of the two items you choose, so pick whichever you like. While you wait for the food to come, go downstairs and talk to Mrs. Drake, who will translate the pub man's weird slang for you (and you can find out more by checking out your cell phone's web pages).
  • 7 of 8: When you go back to your room, ta-daa! The game is a little funky here. "Pinky and perky" should be turkey, and "dog's eye" should be a meat pie. What you actually get, no matter what you order, is bangers and mash -- a big sausage and some mashed potatoes. Hmm.
  • 8 of 8: It doesn't matter, though, because the thing you really need is the "Johnnie Rutter," the pat of butter. Use that on the keyhole, then the key will work perfectly.
