Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock Hints

I blew a tire! How do I change it?

  • 1 of 7: It's not that hard, really. This is something everyone who drives should be able to do anyway.
  • 2 of 7: First you need to lift the car so you can remove the old tire. Click on the jack, the crank on the left, to do this.
  • 3 of 7: Now you need to loosen the lugnuts that hold the tire on. Pick up the tire iron, the tool on the ground, and use it on the old tire twice to remove the nuts and take off the tire.
  • 4 of 7: Next, put the spare on. Pick up the new tire (your icon still looks like the tire iron) and put it on the wheel. Use the tire iron on the lugnuts to put them on.
  • 5 of 7: Now a VERY important step: Tighten the lugnuts! If you don't, the tire will fall off when you drive away. Use the tire iron on the wheel again to tighten the nuts.
  • 6 of 7: Finally, click on the jack to lower the car to the ground. You're done!
  • 7 of 7: Now go to Zippy's as soon as you have $2 to get your spare fixed, so if you get another flat you can do this again. If you don't have a good spare, you'll get towed at a cost of $5!
