Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock Hints
I'm playing Senior and I can't use my notebook or purse.
You've just run across a bug in the program. The only fix is to start a new game as a Senior Detective, and you'll have both notebook and purse. Hope you haven't gone too far in the game yet!
If you don't want to start over, you can continue to play the game without either notebook or purse; you'll just have to keep track of things yourself, including how much money you have. At the beginning of the game, Nancy has $3.50 -- just do the math and you should be able to finish the game anyway.
