Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock Hints
What does all the stuff in this book mean?
1 of 11: This is Josiah's memory book. In this game, it's kind of like the Mutus Liber in "The Curse of Blackmoor Manor."
2 of 11: The strange things written on these pages are the kind of riddles that don't make any sense until you already know what they mean. Be that as it may, write down anything that looks like a question without an answer.
3 of 11: Page 1 says at the top, "Lock on Carriage House." The answers to these four questions are the combination for the carriage house door.
5 of 11: Page 3 is a hint on how to pass Topham's word game. This puzzle isn't on the test; it's just an example, but a good one.
6 of 11: Page 4 says, "To open journal: becoder is in rrivet -- 2 to the right." You won't find the journal for quite a while, but you'll need the "rrivet" when you do.
7 of 11: Page 5 seems to be gibberish -- except that it refers to a tunnel. Oho, so there's a tunnel around somewhere! Keep your eyes peeled for a secret entrance.
8 of 11: Page 6 tells you what you need to open "the big tick-tock on top." Tick-tock has to be a clock, so you can bet you'll need this when you find a really big clock upstairs somewhere.
