Nancy Drew: Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon Hints
How do I get past these boards?
of 13: Did you try pulling them out?
of 13: Ouch! Well, let's think about this a bit.
of 13: You have to pull out the boards in a specific order to keep from being crushed. And as Nancy says, Jake must have left clues somewhere about what order that might be. But where?
of 13: In order to find Jake's clues, leave the board room and go back to the chamber in the mine where you can turn around, where there are four different exits: yellow, green, orange, and blue. (From the entrance to the mine, go forward, forward, take the purple tunnel, right, and forward.)
of 13: Here, take the green exit, even though the star says to take the yellow. Interesting!
of 13: Look at the rocks around the firepit. What you see is a bunch of drawings, each with a roman numeral. Huh. (In case you can't see what they're showing, read this: Rock Pictures)
of 13: To the left, there's a chair and a symbol carved into a board; it looks a little like a letter T that's melting. Did you notice a symbol like this on one of the boards at the end?
of 13: The melting T is next to the campfire, and the rock with a campfire on it is marked with a II. That must mean the melting T board is the second one you're supposed to pull out.
of 13: Now all you need to do is find the rest of the symbols in the mine.
of 13: Most of them are off the beaten path -- that is, taking different paths than those the star and the lizards are showing you. This is not as impossible as it sounds; all the paths eventually lead back to the main path, and if you get lost you can always follow the star-lizard combination to get back to the boards. But it's still a pain.
of 13: Here are the locations of all the symbols:
