Nancy Drew: Danger By Design Hints
Do I need to go through all the stuff on Nancy's desk?
Isn't this a cool way to introduce you to the games? No, you don't HAVE to go through everything here, though some of it is very useful:
-- The "How to Be a Detective" book tells you everything about using the game's interface -- saving games, using the telephone, and so on. It looks like they're planning to use it in future games (since there are entries for things we don't have in this game), so you might want to take a look at it.
-- The "Scrapbook" (which says "Dossier" on the cover) has a two-page summary of all the previous Nancy Drew games, all 13 of them. It's pretty cool, but it's just for fun.
-- The "Case History" folder has information about this mystery. If you didn't read it, don't panic; you can find it in your inventory when you start the game.
-- The plane ticket (the green and white cardboard thing on the right side of the desk) will start a new game. Clicking on it will take you to a screen asking if you want to be a junior or senior detective, and then you're on your way to Paris!
