Nancy Drew: Danger By Design Hints
Are there any Easter eggs in this game?
1 of 6: In case you don't know this term, an Easter egg is a deliberate joke hidden in a game by programmers. For example, in ND 9, "Danger on Deception Island," if you open and close the door to the hardware store repeatedly, you get a slide show of the programmers' pets. Fun!
2 of 6: There's one pretty good Easter egg in this game. When you're in Dieter's darkroom, flush the toilet ten times to get an interesting sound from the toilet and an actual Easter egg in your inventory. (You can only do this when you go in there to develop the fabric photos for him. When you finish the photos, you leave the darkroom automatically and can't ever get back into it again.)
3 of 6: Once you get the egg, you can skip the photo developing puzzle if you want to. Turn to look at the chemicals, turn away, then turn back to have all four photos done.
4 of 6: Also, once you have the egg, go call the other phone numbers you saw listed in Jean Mi's PDA. In case you didn't write them down, they were 48-15-16-23-42 (Anne-Lucie Croix) and 10-80-01-08-00 (Pace Carroll).
5 of 6: The first one gives you a guitar riff, and the second one gives you a message in Morse code, which translates to:
6 of 6: And it's not an Easter egg, but it's kind of fun to force the days to change by going into the bedroom in JJ's apartment. The only thing this really does is change the newspaper on the table, and the papers are full of fun stuff. After Day 11, however, there's a newspaper strike (which you can actually hear happening out on the street on Day 10), so the newspaper stops coming.
