Nancy Drew: Danger By Design Hints

How do I get Minette to stop playing computer games?

  • 1 of 9: After you come back from buying "stuff" for Minette, you'll find that she's engrossed in a computer game and won't look at what you've bought. Talk to Heather to see if she has any ideas.
  • 2 of 9: Heather suggests that if someone else were to log on as Minette and get the high score, Minette is so stupid she'd think it was her and stop playing. (Is anyone really that dim?) Well, it's worth a shot.
  • 3 of 9: Go to your computer and click on "Jane's Game Portal" at the right to get into the game site. But how do you log on as Minette?
  • 4 of 9: Sonny Joon's notes in the left drawer of your desk will help you here. You need a log-in name and a password; look for a name and a word that occur together three times, especially when it's something that has a clear connection to Minette.
  • 5 of 9: Minette's sign-in name isn't her own name; it's the name of one of her favorite possessions. And her password is her favorite word. Her sign-in name is:
  • 6 of 9: Carol. Type it in and press Tab to move on to the password, which is:
  • 7 of 9: Rude. Great, you're in! Click on the first game, Model Match, and start playing.
  • 8 of 9: This game is a lot like Petroglyph Punch from ND11 ("Curse of Blackmoor Manor"). Swap the pieces to make a row or column of three, four, or five pieces that are all the same. Each match you make gives you points and adds time. You need to get more than 1000 points to beat the best time and get Minette back to work.
  • 9 of 9: The hard thing about this is that the faces are quite similar; it's not that easy to pick one particular face out of the crowd. Just keep at it and you'll get it. (But note: There's no point in playing the game before this. You can play the game any time you want, but you can't accumulate enough points to win until it's time to make Minette stop playing.)
