Nancy Drew: Danger By Design Hints
How do I make parfaits?
1 of 5: When you ask Jean Mi to show you the uncropped picture from the Glam Glam article, he'll agree -- on the condition that you help the cafe to make parfaits.
2 of 5: Making parfaits isn't too hard. The sign board above will show you what kind of parfait to make; click on the book at the lower left to see what that one looks like, then assemble it by clicking on the item you want and putting it in the parfait glass in front of you. (The little hand holding the spoon turns into a pointing finger when you can deposit the stuff in the glass.)
3 of 5: You can check back with the book at every step if you need to. Start with the bottom layer and work your way up; the last dollop of whipped cream will go on automatically when you reach the top, so you don't need to add it separately. Click on the bell when you think you're done, and the waiter will tell if you got it right.
4 of 5: The only difficulty here is recognizing the difference between vanilla ice cream, caramel ice cream, and whipped cream. Whipped cream is solid white; vanilla ice cream is a mottled beige; caramel ice cream is a mottled tan. Other than that, it's pretty easy if you pay attention.
5 of 5: If you don't make any mistakes, you need to make six parfaits. Every time you make a mistake, the number of parfaits you need to make will go up, sometimes by more than one -- if you're not careful, you could find yourself having to make 12 or 13 parfaits instead of just 6. So assemble your parfaits carefully, or you'll be making parfaits for the rest of your natural life!
