How do I pick the seeds Dr. Craven wants?

  • 1 of 6: When you come to Dr. Craven looking for parts to fix the solar panel, he'll ask you to collect some seeds for him. (If Nancy doesn't ask about this, go back to Quigley's Camp, try to turn on the radio, then click on the solar panel on the ground by the jeep.)
  • 2 of 6: The first problem is finding them. Go down the stairs, turn right, go forward as far as you can, then turn right to find the "cultivars" Dr. Craven referred to.
  • 3 of 6: As he said, there's a note here telling you how to tell a viable seed (that is, one that has been fertilized and will grow into a plant) from a nonviable one. Can you see it?
  • 4 of 6: Click on the little white card at the right of the plants. It says the viable seeds are brown with a white spot; I'll go a step further and tell you that the nonviable seeds are green and have what looks like a tire track down the middle.
  • 5 of 6: Click anywhere on the plants to pick a pod off the vine. Click on it to open it, and if there are any viable seeds (sometimes there aren't any), pick them up. Click outside the pod when you're done with that one, and click on the vine again to pick another.
  • 6 of 6: When Nancy tells you she has twelve viable seeds, go back up and talk to Dr. Craven again. If he's not happy, come back down and start again.
