Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave Hints

How do I play Wiki Tiki, and why?

  • 1 of 7: Wiki Tiki is just for fun; you don't need to play it at all if you don't want to, but it's fun and you can win something, so why not?
  • 2 of 7: In order to play, you'll need one Big Island buck. When you have one, click on the slot to drop it in and begin.
  • 3 of 7: There are two stages to the game. First, click on the white buttons at left as fast as you can, right-left-right-left, until the white bars climb to the top and the work "Tiki" lights up.
  • 4 of 7: Next, you get to the basic game, which is sort of like the game rock-paper-scissors. Wai (water) beats Ahi (fire); Ahi beats Pohaku (rock); and Pohaku beats Wai. You pick whichever one you want, the computer picks one, and then you see who wins. The one that wins four times first wins! And if it's you, a prize drops out of the machine for you.
  • 5 of 7: This is basically chance, as far as I can figure out, though you may feel like the computer is strategizing most cleverly against you. I've tried picking the same one every time, and sometimes that works; sometimes it doesn't, though.
  • 6 of 7: Most times, you'll win a shark's tooth, which you can use to make necklaces. However, if you play long enough, you can win other prizes, like a bit of pumice rock and a keychain.
  • 7 of 7: Well, that's what I've heard, at any rate. Me, I can't take that song for more than about ten minutes before I want to rip my hair out; I played till I had five shark's teeth, then I had to go sit in a dark room for a few hours.
