1 of 3: After you get the snowshoes and go to Avalanche Ridge, you'll come across a notebook with no name next to a crater.
2 of 3: Later, when you get into Trapper Dan's Hut, you'll find a diary, and when you read it, Nancy will make a comment about a way to identify the owner of the notebook.
3 of 3: Her solution is to try to get Isis to identify the notebook's owner by smell. To do that, you need to gather things from the lodge that have your suspects' scents on them.
