What was the villain's motive again?
According to the wrap-up, he was trying to get everyone to leave the lodge so he could go prospecting for uranium for his homeland, Fredonia (which, by the way, is a country made up by the Marx Brothers in their hysterical movie "Duck Soup"). How he thought he was going to mine, refine, and smuggle the uranium out of the country is anybody's guess.
