Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek Hints
What do I do with the pyramid?
of 11: There are all kinds of things you can do with the pyramid, but you don't really need to do anything with it until someone in the game tells you about it. If you want, you can skip it until then. Read all the way to the bottom of this hint to learn all you need to know about the pyramid.
of 11: After you find the missing pictures, talk to the person in the pictures, and he or she will direct you to the pyramid.
of 11: The person told you that if you turned all the tiles on the front of the pyramid to pigs, you'd get a master key to Trapper Dan's Needle, so that's your goal.
of 11: If you've played some of the other Nancy Drew games, you probably recognize this type of puzzle: some pieces just turn by themselves, others turn a bunch of pieces. The trick here is to turn the multiple pieces first, then go back and do the singles.
of 11: You can do this by trial and error if you like; it's not really that hard, though it is frustrating. However, if it's driving you nuts, back away from the puzzle to reset it, zoom in on it again, and turn the tiles in this order:
of 11: Aaaaand ... nothing. Rats! Maybe Bill can help you with this; go talk to him again.
of 11: This time, he tells you that if you turn the top of the pyramid and then do all four animals, you'll get Trapper Dan's journal. Wow! That's worth the trouble, definitely.
of 11: So give the top of the pyramid a yank, then settle down to some long puzzle-solving time. What you're doing here is changing all the tiles to one animal, then all to the next animal, and so on. When you finish one animal, its face will light up at the bottom of the pyramid, and you don't have to do that one again, even if you leave the game and come back. When you've done all four, a drawer will open. Cool!
of 11: The catch, however, is that the way the tiles turn changes with each animal. When you start, the tiles move in one way; but after that, the pattern the tiles move in changes depending on what animal is showing when you start. Such fun!
