Why are there mines in this isolated Canadian lake?
It does seem a bit bizarre, doesn't it? But if you read the displays in the lodge's lobby, one of them says that the Navy was here during World War II, and I guess they must have been testing mines and forgot to pick up all their toys when they went home. How careless!
