How can I fix the dumbwaiter?
1 of 5: Dumbwaiters are used to move objects between floors, usually food from the kitchen to the guest floors. So there are two openings for it -- one on the main floor and one up on the second floor. Look for a louvered white panel on the walls.
2 of 5: This dumbwaiter's design is a basic system of pulleys. One long rope is strung from two pulleys -- one at the top and one at the bottom. When the tray needs to be raised or lowered, a person could simply pull on one side of the rope. Of course, this one is broken so it doesn't work.
