Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower Hints
Junior Detective Puzzle
of 11: For those of you who would like to work this out on paper, below is an illustration of what the Junior Detective puzzle looks like in the beginning.
of 11: Since screen colors are different between computers, what I call "yellow" may not look the same on your screen. There are animal drawings on each one to help distinguish them apart: Yellow -- Tiger; Blue -- Wolf; Pink -- Cobra.
of 11: REMEMBER: If you use my solution, you -must- follow my directions -in order- from start to finish.
of 11: Begin by moving the yellow circle home. Notice that yellow has only one way into its square -- from the side.
of 11: Since the circles go all the way in the direction you point them, there is nothing to stop the yellow in front of its home square. Use the other two circles to help you with this problem.
of 11: With a fresh board, move the pink disk up to the top: left and then up.
of 11: Follow with the blue circle: down, left, and up.
of 11: When you move the yellow circle in the same path as the others, it will stop underneath the blue circle -- and in front of its home! Below is the illustration of Step 1 for the above directions.
of 11: The next 2 steps are really easy enough that you may be able to figure them out yourself. It really doesn't matter which colored circle you choose next. They are both in the perfect position now to send home.
of 11: To send the blue one home, move it: right and down (to home).
