Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower Hints
What is the alarm code?
of 14: The answer to this question is in the very last hint, but you must follow these steps for it to work.
of 14: Dexter is the only one who knows it, but he won't tell you what it is -- at least not knowingly!
of 14: He uses the code frequently, but only when no one else is in the library.
of 14: Find a way to watch him in secret ... from above.
of 14: There's another way into the library that leads to the upper level.
of 14: A magazine article in Nancy's room explains all about fingerprints.
of 14: Return to the alarm box and dust each and every key.
of 14: According to the article, he would have pushed the key with the darkest fingerprint first and the lightest one last.
of 14: Study the darkness or lightness of the prints for the order he pressed them.
of 14: Press the four keys in order. When you think you have the code, try it. If it works, it will be "approved" and the alarm will be disabled. (The answer is in the next hint.)
of 14: Push the keys in this order: 3 * 7 2. But, you must go through the steps in these hints to learn the code for yourself before you will be allowed to use it. If you haven't watched Dexter, or dusted for fingerprints, the code will not be approved.
