Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower Hints

Which circuit switches should I move?

  • 1 of 11: If you haven't found the circuit breaker box, read the below hint.
  • 2 of 11: If you move the wrong breaker switches, lights or other equipment may stop working.  So it is best not to worry about these until you are told to.
  • 3 of 11: Have you finished the first of Dexter's Errands?  To complete his second request, you'll need to check these circuits.
  • 4 of 11: This panel is very confusing, because each of the switches (single and the grouped ones) works independently.  What is "on" for one may be "off" for another.
  • 5 of 11: You can see immediate results by clicking on the group of two switches at the bottom right.
  • 6 of 11: That bottom right group turns the basement lights on and off.  (Click in the same spot again to turn them back on.)
  • 7 of 11: So, the lights in other parts of the castle must be controlled by switches on the right side of the panel.
  • 8 of 11: Try one of the top three on the right.  Then walk around right to the spiral staircase and to the top.  If it is still dark up there, you picked the wrong one.
  • 9 of 11: Try the next one and repeat and again if necessary.
  • 10 of 11: It also does no harm at all to click on the top 3 switches on the right side of the panel, although only one is necessary.
  • 11 of 11: The one to turn on is the third one from the top, so that it points to the right.
