The elevator is blocking the path! Now what?

  • 1 of 9: If the elevator is in your way, move the elevator to the first floor.
  • 2 of 9: Now the elevator is out of the way, but you can't get to the wall steps in the shaft!
  • 3 of 9: Remember that the steps in the shaft run all the way up -and- all the way down to the bottom.
  • 4 of 9: Get to the top of the steps.  Then you can climb down to the basement.
  • 5 of 9: Think.  When were you at the top of the steps before?
  • 6 of 9: The top of the steps can be reached through the ventilation shaft in the library!
  • 7 of 9: But you'll need to go through the front door of the library to reach the ducts.
  • 8 of 9: After the alarm is silent, climb the library steps up to the vent and crawl through the ducts to the top of the steps.
  • 9 of 9: Climb all the way down to the bottom and use the lever again to open the lid.
