Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower Hints

How can I solve the leaf puzzle?

  • 1 of 8: The object of the puzzle is to rearrange the blocks so they form a picture of golden leaves intertwined together.
  • 2 of 8: To pick up a block, click your highlighted cursor on it and move it to a new spot.  This will pick up the block that was in that spot.  To turn a block, don't pick it up.  Move your cursor to the corner of the piece until you get the circle arrow.  Click on the circle to turn it.
  • 3 of 8: The picture can be seen in Marie Antoinette's portrait in the library.
  • 4 of 8: Start by identifying the edges of the picture.  They have a lined border.  (Note: Junior Detectives will only have the border to do since the center is completed for them.)
  • 5 of 8: Blocks with a somewhat fatter (2-lined) border will line up at the top of the picture.  The thinner lines go along the sides.
  • 6 of 8: The ones for the bottom of the border have small dots at the lower side, which will line up with the existing border.
  • 7 of 8: As you study the pieces, notice there is a semi-circular design on some of them.  Those go in the corners.  The more complete semi-circles go in the top two corners.
  • 8 of 8: The completed puzzle looks the same for both Juniors and Seniors.  A screenshot of the solved puzzle is below.
