How does the key machine work?

  • 1 of 4: Insert a coin in the slot to begin.
  • 2 of 4: Each set of key "teeth" is identified by a letter of the alphabet.  Choose groups of key "teeth" by pressing the buttons in order from left to right, as they appear on the key you want to make.  Then click on "Make Key" at the bottom and watch the machine work your design.  Pick up your new key from the tray.
  • 3 of 4: While you can make various types of keys, there is one particular key you need to make.
  • 4 of 4: You will know the right key has been made if you can visually see its "teeth" when it appears in the pick up tray.  If you cannot see the teeth patterns, pick it up and try again.
