Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand Hints
I'm stuck and can't find the answer here!
First of all, don't panic! I have tried to include hints for everything needed to finish the game. Your answer may be in a different part of the hints -- or further down in them.
Remember that the hints are layered. So you can try to solve the problems yourself, they are meant to give you the subtlest clues first with the final solutions towards the last.
*** Be sure you read ALL of the hints under each question or section. There will be a link or a button marked something like "Another Hint" below most hints. Click on this until every hint has been revealed in each question. ***
If that doesn't help, try these things:
1) If you opened something (a lid, cabinet, drawer etc.), CLOSE it. You often can't get out of the current screen if you leave anything open.
1) Go back and talk to all of the other characters again. (Even try talking to them two times in a row.)
2) Revisit all of the rooms in all of the locations. Search the entire area for clickable spots, puzzles, and clues. Make sure you zoom in for a closer look at everything, especially so you can actually read newspaper articles, books, and magazines.
3) Review your own notes. (And Nancy's in her computer!)
4) Call Nancy's friends and ask them for help.
5) Try changing the time of day (or night).
If you still haven't found anything new, read the hints for things you have already done. There may be something in them that you hadn't thought of -- or that will jog your memory.
Lastly, take a break! Leave the game for a day or two. A good night's rest does wonders!
