Nancy Drew: The Haunted Carousel Hints
How do I find out who Luis G. is?
1 of 5: There's only one way to find out. You entered Mr. Luis G.'s telephone number into your cell phone when you found Harlan's appointment book.
2 of 5: When you have a moment, call Mr. Luis G. and find out who he is.
3 of 5: You learn that Harlan is an ex-convict. His parole officer is Luis Guerra. More disturbing, Harlan fits the description (dark hair, medium build, clean-shaven, heavy Jersey accent) of the New Jersey State Prison cellmate of Chas Dunning, the convicted jewel thief who stashed stolen jewelry on the park's carousel before he was captured. If Harlan was that cellmate, there is a good chance he is after the rest of the stolen jewelry that was never recovered, and that is hidden somewhere in the park.
4 of 5: You learn from Mr. Guerra that Harlan was just paroled five weeks ago, but after serving time at the Bayside State Prison, not New Jersey State Prison. He never had a cellmate named Chas Dunning. That means Harlan could not be looking for any stolen jewelry on the park, and therefore, probably did not steal the missing carousel horse. When you hear this, you start to regret you had mentioned any of this to Paula Santos.
5 of 5: You might want to call Paula Santos back and try to straighten this out.
