Nancy Drew: The Haunted Carousel Hints
How do I figure out who L.H. is and what the "results" were?
1 of 6: You've seen a name that has the initials "L.H." somewhere before.
2 of 6: You've seen this name somewhere in the park office.
3 of 6: You recall the name Lance Huffington from the newspaper article you read in the park office. Lance Huffington is the park patron allegedly injured recently while riding the roller coaster, and who is suing the park for one million dollars. When you have a moment, call Mr. "L. H." and find out who he is, and try to find out what the "results" were.
5 of 6: You eventually find the Mr. Huffington's phone number, and call him. You tell him you are Ingrid's assistant, and convince him to talk about what happened. He tells you, "Her plan worked. Life is good." Lance, it turns out, is a creep and a liar, for he has obviously been faking his neck injuries, just as Paula Santos suspected, in order to collect the park's insurance money.
6 of 6: He may have been able to stage the injury on the roller coaster through the help of Ingrid. Since you find Lance's phone number near Ingrid's work area, and then telephone Lance, he tells you, "Her plan worked." Perhaps Ingrid arranged for the roller coaster to stop while Lance was riding it, so that he could claim he was injured and spit the insurance money with her. Maybe you should ask Ingrid about Mr. Huffington.
