How do I load roll three into the band organ and then play it?

  • 1 of 9: Ensure you have already located the third band organ roll, and are ready to load it into the band organ.
  • 2 of 9: This task looks like it will be easy, but the spindle breaks as you try loading the roll.  This must be the problem Tink was trying to warn you about.  Do you think you should take the broken spindle?
  • 3 of 9: Yes, take the broken spindle from the band organ, for you might be able to repair it, or replace it with one that looks just like it.
  • 4 of 9: Can you think of any tools you have seen that could repair or replace the spindle?
  • 5 of 9: What about the lathe in Elliott's office?  He might let you use it.  A lathe would be perfect, because it is designed to cut grooves of varying widths and depths into a spinning wooden dowel.  You could make a new spindle.  Why don't you try asking him?
  • 6 of 9: Now that you have a new band organ spindle, return to the carousel fit the new spindle into the band organ.
  • 7 of 9: Then load roll three onto the spindle.
  • 8 of 9: Close the inner door, then switch the band organ from "CD" to "Roll" like Tink said.
  • 9 of 9: Flip the power switch and play roll three.
