Nancy Drew: The Haunted Carousel Hints
How do I know which notes are being played during the band organ tune?
of 9: To determine which notes are being played during the band organ tune, you need to determine which pipes are blowing air during the tune.
of 9: You'll need two objects to determine which pipes are blowing air while playing the band organ tune.
of 9: Both objects can be found in Elliott's art studio. You may have already picked up these objects.
of 9: Also, you get an idea in Elliott's art studio on how to properly use the two objects. You may have turned on something in the art studio that gives you this idea.
of 9: Turn on the fan in the art studio, which blows air at you. Does this suggest anything?
of 9: The fan has strips of paper taped to it, which move when air from the fan blows across them. Have you located the two objects in this room that will help you determine which pipes are blowing air while playing the band organ tune?
of 9: The other two objects you need are the strips of paper and roll of tape. You can you use these objects to determine which pipes are blowing air while playing the band organ tune.
of 9: Put the strips of paper against each of the air holes of the pipes. Then tape each strip of paper into place. Now play the band organ tune, and pay attention.
of 9: As a pipe plays a note, the air passing through the pipe blows up the strips of paper you taped there. Since the note played by the pipe is labeled on the pipe, you can know exactly which notes are played in the band organ tune. Remember, Miles said you need to know the first eight notes of the tune.
