Nancy Drew: The Haunted Carousel Hints

Rolfe Kessler

  • 1 of 3: Rolfe Kessler is the artistic genius that carved the park's carousel horses eighty-five years ago.  His name is inscribed on a plaque on the carousel, and he is mentioned in the book on carousel horses that you can find in the art studio.  He was a mysterious, moody character, who always worked alone at his craft.  He carved only five sets of horses in his career.  All of his beautiful horses are considered rare and valuable.

  • 3 of 3: In the article, you learn:

    1. In at least two of the five sets of carousel horses Kessler created, he had agreed to lower his price in return for being given his own, private on-site workshop.

    2. Kessler's wife, Amelia, left him because of his reclusive nature and strange mood swings.  It took him two years to find her, and when he finally did, she died of tuberculosis shortly after.  Homeless, friendless, and now passionless, Kessler simply vanished from history.
