Nancy Drew: The Haunted Carousel Hints
Does this game have any references to other Nancy Drew games?
1 of 7: Her Interactive likes to hide clever references to other Nancy Drew games in every new game that they release. This game is no exception.
2 of 7: The author has found two of these "hidden" references, and several fans of the UHS system wrote the author with two more! The games references are to: Secret of the Scarlet Hand, Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, and The Final Scene.
3 of 7: One of the references to Secret of the Scarlet Hand can be found in the Tidal Terror Roller Coaster. As Nancy exits the indoor roller coaster, the exit door has a red handprint clearly marked on the door.
4 of 7: Another reference to Secret of the Scarlet Hand can be found in Elliott's art studio. When Elliott finally leaves the studio, Nancy notices a picture hanging above his drafting table. "It's a Poppy Dada!" she exclaims. Poppy was the young star painter that created works of art that occasionally had objects sticking out of them. Nancy can even question Elliott about it later, and he will confide in her about his meeting with the young artist, and about his believe that she has the hots for him.
5 of 7: The reference to Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake can be found in the park office. When Joy has stepped out of the office and Nancy may step around her desk, the notepad there is found to have a watermark of one of the ghost dogs -- either Vitus, Iggy, Xander, or Lucy.
6 of 7: Finally, the reference to The Final Scene can be found in two locations in the park. When Nancy fixes the breaker box by the roller coaster, the instructions there are signed "Fight the Power! -Nick F." The arcade game that needs fixing is also signed "Nick F." These are references to Nick Falcone, the rebel revolutionary, and his famous phrase (that we love to laugh at): "Fight the Power!"
