Necronomicon: The Dawning of Darkness Hints
I'm having trouble in the room with the holes. Help!
1 of 6: Getting to the altar and back without falling in the holes is a real challenge. The direction arrows are very close together and difficult to separate. Plus it's very dark in the room so you cannot see the holes clearly. To make matters worse, you cannot save while inside the room. All I can give you are suggestions to lead you in the right directions. It will take you repeated attempts to succeed.
2 of 6: Lighting the torch on one of the right-side walls will help, but it has a time limit (the number of your steps, perhaps). Finishing your task before the torch goes out can be done if you're quick enough.
3 of 6: Reaching the altar is much easier than the return trip. Remember that the holes are staggered and get closer together as they go inward.
4 of 6: Getting back is very tricky, and gets much worse if it is still dark. For your first step, there are 3 directional hot spots to choose from. They are VERY close together and can only be distinguished because your cursor blinks off and on. Try to pick them out by slowly panning to the left and right and watching your cursor.
5 of 6: Return your gaze to face the lit entrance. Do not choose the one that points closest to the lighted area. Instead, choose the one to the left of it in the dark. (If the torch is still lit, aim towards the left-hand barred opening.)
6 of 6: There should be a hole immediately in front of you, even though you can't see it. Bear ever so slightly to the right and walk there. If you make that step safely, head left toward the wall and around to the door.
