How do I open the gate outside the library?
1 of 13: Look in the center of the room that contains the gate.
2 of 13: There's some kind of control panel.
3 of 13: Once you've explored the monastery, you should see the same symbols somewhere else.
4 of 13: Did you find a grate on the floor in the chapel?
5 of 13: If you click on it a few times, you should see a piece of paper. Read it.
6 of 13: There are those symbols again.
7 of 13: Notice the layout of the paper carefully.
8 of 13: The left and right halves of the paper contain the same number of letters/symbols, and in the same locations.
9 of 13: The symbols on the right are a letter-by-letter "translation" of the words on the left.
10 of 13: You need to enter a message into the control panel near the gate, using these symbols.
11 of 13: The word is on the top of that page.
12 of 13: It's "open."
13 of 13: Or, if you think of the control panel as a clock, click on the symbols at 2 o'clock, then 10, then 3, and finally 12.
