Zork Nemesis Hints
Why is it so dark in the auditorium?
1 of 10: The concert has to end before they will bring up the lights.
2 of 10: First, you should go to your box (box C, on the third level) and watch Alexandria perform, through the opera glasses sitting there for you.
3 of 10: But the concert still isn't over.
4 of 10: There's a traditional ending to every Z'orchestra performance.
5 of 10: And you need to supply it yourself. Walk onto the stage (you can't get there until you've seen Alexandria perform), and pick up the baton. If you click on the seats in the orchestra pit, you can get the orchestra to play the anthem.
6 of 10: Once you've figured out the closing anthem and the arrangement of instruments, the only real hard part left is figuring out where the chairs are located in the dark. Unfortunately, this can be difficult even if you know exactly what you're doing.
7 of 10: Four of the instruments are located to the left of your podium, and four are located to the right. Also, the instruments are fairly well separated from each other -- the cursor should change from a hot spot cursor, to a regular one, and then back again as you move it across the screen.
8 of 10: Eventually, you should be able to make out where the eight hot spots for the eight instruments are.
9 of 10: If the instruments are laid out:
1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8
you'll want to use the baton on 4, 6, 4, 1, and 5.
10 of 10: Once you've played the anthem correctly, the lights should come on.
