How do I get through the front door?

  • 1 of 16: The man who's out there will not let you through as long as there is a war going on.
  • 2 of 16: You have to figure out a way to stop the war.
  • 3 of 16: General Kaine left some battle plans around.
  • 4 of 16: They're in the chest in his bedroom, on a map.
  • 5 of 16: Once you've found them, you need to find a way to relay those orders onto his troops.
  • 6 of 16: There's a radio set in a room at the far end of the great hall.
  • 7 of 16: Look in the display labelled "battle in progress" and you'll find the radio set.
  • 8 of 16: You need to translate the orders on the map into codes.  There are a couple of sources for those codes.
  • 9 of 16: For one, try looking at the canvas in Lucien's room.
  • 10 of 16: Paint it with the nearby brush, and it will reveal a list of codes (amidst some other nonsense).
  • 11 of 16: Or go into the dungeon, which is behind the door guarded by the knight in the weapons room, which is itself guarded by another knight.
    The torture victims will tell you all of the codes.
  • 12 of 16: The map gives you four instructions.
  • 13 of 16: You also want to make sure that the troops think the orders are coming from Kaine.
  • 14 of 16: The orders are: decoy, split the troops, build bridge, infiltrate, and verify.
  • 15 of 16: The codes for those are 10, 1, 9, 6, and 12.  Enter them, press the enter button, and the war will end.
  • 16 of 16: By the way, those same codes appeared in the front cover of the journal.
