How do I solve the colored marbles puzzle?
of 10: it would be a good idea to create a game save before turning the puzzle. Although this a fairly straightforward puzzle, there does not seem to be any way to reset it into the starting position once the puzzle has been started.
of 10: Notice the four triangle-shaped colors at the top, bottom, and both sides of the rings?
of 10: The colors of the four triangles each match the colors of the marbles, and give an important clue as to the correct solution to the puzzle.
of 10: Each of the four colors indicates the correct color of marbles to place in the row or column next to it. For example, the colored triangle on the left is yellow, so all the yellow marbles should be placed in a horizontal row between the left yellow triangle and the center of the puzzle.
of 10: There is only one extra space. One marble can rest on the empty space near the yellow triangle.
of 10: The colored marbles can be moved (left, right, up or down) -- but only into an empty space that is immediately next to it.
of 10: There are also four sections of the puzzle that can be rotated.
of 10: If you left-click on the center circle, or any of the three rings around it, the section that you click on will rotate clockwise. Note: It is possible to right-click on a section to move it counter-clockwise, but it is not necessary to use the right mouse button to solve the puzzle.
of 10: A good strategy is to work from the inside circle out, focusing on only one circle at a time.
of 10: Once the innermost circle is correct, be sure it is turned into place, then start solving the next larger circle, continuing outward until the outermost circle. As long as you work from the inside out, there won't be any further need to rotate the inner circles once they have been solved.
