Night: How do I get rid of the guard at the gate?
1 of 10: You won't be able to get rid of the guard at the gate until you first get some information from him. After you've explored the night scenes a bit, you should return to ask him questions.
2 of 10: In particular, make sure that you've been to the scene with the mine. Then return to the guard at the gate and ask him about the lights.
3 of 10: Besides talking about the lights, the guard admits that he is tired.
4 of 10: Make sure you leave the scene after he admits he is tired...
5 of 10: ... then return and speak with him again. The guard should admit, at this point, that he's hungry. Note: if he does not say that he's hungry, you may need to leave the scene and return, until he does.
7 of 10: Once you have a warm meal, take it out to the guard at the gate.
8 of 10: Watching him eat won't make him finish eating any faster.
9 of 10: In fact, it will be necessary to walk away from him while he eats, or he will never finish.
10 of 10: Make sure you walk away at least as far as the trailer. When you return, he should be done eating. If done correctly, the guard will volunteer to leave his post.
