How do I enter the Sphinx?

  • 1 of 12: This is your first really tough puzzle!
  • 2 of 12: Listen carefully to the recorded message you hear when you try to enter the Sphinx.
  • 3 of 12: A lot "turns" on how you approach this puzzle.
  • 4 of 12: The wheels under the statue also "turn".
  • 5 of 12: The wheels must be set correctly before you press the button.
  • 6 of 12: The images on the wheels are Egyptian gods and goddesses.
  • 7 of 12: The recorded message relates to certain of these gods.
  • 8 of 12: Read any good books lately?
  • 9 of 12: You'll need to do some research on Egyptology. If you don't have any reference books, try the bookstore right here in the zoo.
  • 10 of 12: Read the descriptions of the Egyptian gods in the book in the bookstore.
  • 11 of 12: Find those that match the recorded message.
  • 12 of 12: The book you want is on the middle shelf just to the left of the well.
