Nine: The Last Resort Hints
How do I tune the guitar?
1 of 15: Have you been to the Unicorn and Jester tapestry alcove in Aura's room yet?
2 of 15: There is a book there on how to tune a guitar.
3 of 15: The book shows a tuner with the letters B, A, D, G, E.
4 of 15: The book also shows you what note each string on the guitar should be tuned to.
5 of 15: The order of the strings will be different for each game!
6 of 15: In my game, the guitar strings went from bottom/left to top/right: A, D, B, E, E, G (when viewed from the front).
7 of 15: The tuner will help you tune each string by showing you whether you are sharp (needle on dial goes to the right) or flat (needle goes to the left.)
8 of 15: When you get the string tuned correctly, the red triangle on the tuner will glow, the needle will be vertical, and you will hear a guitar chord play. Lucille might also say something to your success (or failure.)
9 of 15: You must match each string to the correct note on the tuner.
10 of 15: For example, the "A" string must be tuned to "A" on the tuner.
11 of 15: To do this, push the "A" button on the tuner, then turn the corresponding guitar peg to tune the "A" string to this frequency.
12 of 15: NOTE: The guitar strings/pegs are reversed since Lucille presents the BACK of her head, not the front.
13 of 15: Therefore, the order of the guitar strings from left to right (in my game) was: G, E, E, B, D, A. Remember that each game is different!
14 of 15: Tune each of these strings to their proper frequency using the tuner.
15 of 15: When you have adjusted all 6 strings correctly, Lucille will give you a present and pop back into her case.
