Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Hints
How can I open the locked door in the statue puzzle room?
of 11: Solve the statue puzzle.
of 11: NOTE: If you don't want skeleton bombs teleporting in periodically while you're working on the puzzle, go kill the Fairy Bomb Maker in his hidey-hole at location 5 on the South Map before visiting the statue room.
of 11: There are three statues, each of which has a lever next to it. See what you can do with those items.
of 11: Clicking on a statue will cause it to rotate a little bit.
of 11: The levers lock the statues in place. Don't use them until you're sure the statues are rotated the right way, since you can't unlock the statues again.
of 11: Are there any rotations that do something special?
of 11: Remember what your main goal here is.
of 11: Pick a statue and try rotating it until it's facing the east door that you're trying to unlock.
of 11: When a statue faces that door, it'll automatically send out a beam of energy.
of 11: That's the time to lock the statue in place. Quickly hit its lever before the periodic random rotation gimmick activates again. (If the rotation happens just before you throw the lever, the statue may permanently lock into the wrong facing, and you'll have to restore a save if you want to ever get the door open.)
of 11: As soon as all three statues are shooting beams at the door, it'll be destroyed, allowing you access to a small room with a chest of goodies in it that includes a powerful weapon to match one of your weapon focuses.
