Is there a safe way to cross the flaming coals in the fire elemental cave?
1 of 9: There's certainly no safe way to walk across.
2 of 9: You could get your fire resistance up as high as you can with items and spells and run across, hoping for the best. (The Sash of Searing that's in the ice troll cave is very good for this, since it makes you 90% immune to fire.)
3 of 9: But there is a better way.
4 of 9: First, drop all henchmen in the starting area of the cave by talking to them and telling them to wait there for you. (Or have one henchman like Valen wear the Sash of Searing and stay with you.)
5 of 9: Then figure out a way to fly across the coals. They can't hurt you if they can't touch you.
6 of 9: Can you transform into anything that can fly?
7 of 9: Since you have the sensei's amulet, the answer is "Yes!"
8 of 9: Use the amulet to turn into a pixie and fly across.
9 of 9: On the other side of the coals, you'll have to cancel your pixie polymorph and then use the demonic grappling hook to get across to the next area. (The hook is also essential in reaching other parts of this cave.)
