How can I beat the powerful drow force guarding Halaster?
1 of 6: Nathyrra joins you for this fight, so that's one more ally you have.
2 of 6: Also, Halaster himself can be an ally.
3 of 6: As soon as you free Halaster, he'll fire off some spells that will kill every drow in the area.
4 of 6: Another strategy is to fire your best ranged attacks into the main force near Halaster and then retreat, attempting to draw the drow a few at a time into the northern chamber.
5 of 6: To deal with the archers up on the raised platforms, either shoot them with your own arrows or run up the ramps that lead up to where they are and lay into them with melee weapons.
6 of 6: Another thing to note is that one of the worst things that can happen to you during this battle (especially if you charge in with melee weapons) is to be stunned by a spell. To prevent that, wear the wonderful Cowl of Warding that was available in the level 1 north area.
