A Daughter's Ambition
1 of 7: Speak to Zesyyr Maeviir in the Maeviir Public House to start on this quest.
2 of 7: After accepting the murderous mission, go to House Maeviir a ways to the north and talk to one of the guards.
3 of 7: Show him the signet ring that Zesyyr gave you, and he'll let you in, warning you that a few of the guards inside are loyal to the matron.
4 of 7: Once you're inside, the matron and her guard captain will talk to you. You then have two choices as to how to go about this.
5 of 7: You can announce that you're there to kill the matron, and then proceed to do so. Once she and her three loyal guards are dead, Zesyyr will show up and give you $20,000 and 5,000 XP. On an easy Persuade check, you can get Tebimar's Scythe, too. (Or if you're fast enough, you can grab the scythe from Tebimar's "remains" bag before you kill off all the others.)
6 of 7: Your other option is to warn the matron that Zesyyr is out to get her. She'll give you an Amulet of Will +8 (and Tebimar's Scythe on a difficult Persuade check), but no money or XP.
7 of 7: So clearly the best course of action is to warn the matron and then attack her after she gives you the amulet. That way you can get both magic items plus the money and XP!
