Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Hints
What are the alchemist's tables for?
of 9: Alchemy.
of 9: You can't turn lead into gold, but you can create some useful golem-related items.
of 9: Have you found any items whose descriptions mention that you'd need alchemical equipment to make use of them?
of 9: The colored powder items all say that, as do the golden rod, the magical crystal, and the mithral statue. See the Upper Ruins Map to find out where they can be found.
of 9: Once you have them, you could either experiment with an alchemical table until you get lucky, or you could look for a reference book telling you what items to combine.
of 9: The bookshelves at the location 5's on the map have books called "Scriptures of the Created" that'll have some useful info for you.
of 9: If you collect all of the items and powders, you'll have just enough to make one of each of the three golem-manipulating devices listed in the book.
of 9: To make a device, simply click on the table to open up its inventory window and then transfer the required components from your inventory to the table's.
of 9: NOTE: Each of the three golem devices can be sold to merchants for several thousand gold, but you might want to keep them if you haven't done the Undead Cult region yet since they can work against the bone golems, too.
