How can I use the golem construction machine?
1 of 7: Only wizards and sorcerers can use the machine to create an amulet that can summon a golem with special powers. Specifically, you have to have at least 5 levels as a wizard or sorcerer when you first enter the ruins to be able to make the amulet.
2 of 7: First, get the golem machine activator from the Maker's corpse and use its unique power on the machine to unlock it.
3 of 7: Then put all six of the loose golem pieces that you can find scattered about the upper and lower ruins into the machine with the controlling amulet (which starts out in the machine).
4 of 7: The six loose golem pieces aren't even findable by other classes, but sorcerers and wizards shouldn't have any trouble locating them.
5 of 7: Now cast one spell from the list in the Maker's book (found on a nearby bookshelf) into each of the four spell conduits connected to the table in order to give your golem special powers. (Note that you don't have to have the spells memorized -- if you have them on scrolls, you can click on the conduits and choose to cast from the scrolls.)
6 of 7: When you've cast the four spells of your choice on the conduits, the new controlling amulet will appear in your inventory, and your fantastic new golem will be right beside you!
7 of 7: CHEAT NOTE: If you don't want to go to all the trouble of doing the above process, or you're ticked because you have a high Use Magic Device skill and can't find the golem pieces, then you can use the cheats to get yourself a completed golem-summoning amulet (see following link).
