How can I prevent the weapon spirit from stealing my best weapons?
1 of 6: Have you tried unequipping them or dropping them on the floor before entering the haunted weapons room?
2 of 6: That doesn't appear to do any good. Perhaps which weapons he steals was set at some point.
3 of 6: As it turns out, he'll steal whatever melee weapon or weapons you had readied when you first entered the ruins.
4 of 6: It's too late to reset that now, but if you want to restore your game and try again, be sure to enter the ruins with your weakest melee weapon readied. (Don't try to enter with no weapons or a ranged weapon readied, or the spirit will pick out your best melee weapon to steal.)
5 of 6: After you pound the spirit to death, you can get whatever weapon(s) he stole back from his remains bag.
6 of 6: You can then loot the weapons room of all of its other items, most of which are lying around on the floor (but some of which are on corpses).
