Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Hints
Just north of the inn is a powerful group of enemies. How can I defeat them?
1 of 4: This will be tough if you're just level 15, since the spellcasters can hit you with some powerful spells. Also, duergar can hide well, effectively turning invisible.
2 of 4: The best way to handle this is to start off by firing arrows and/or spells at them from a distance. If you're not powerful enough to kill them all this way, then try running off to the west to draw the fighters off.
3 of 4: Once you dispose of the fighters, heal up and go back after the spellcasters.
4 of 4: NOTE: When they go invisible, it helps if you have a high Spot or Listen skill. You can buy a special Watchman's Helm in Argali's Arms that adds 8 to Spot, Search, and Listen skill checks. (It'll be very useful in the Undermountain, too.) Otherwise, try running up to the spot where you saw a duergar disappear. If he's still there, he'll probably reappear when you approach, and you can then attack him.
